Note: "Personal" and "Private"

In common speech, the words "personal" and "private" are often used interchangably. On Privacilla, the word "personal" is used to mean "information about a person," which may or may not be private. "Private" is what people want to keep secret or confidential. Private information is treated as a distinct subset of personal information. This is the best way we have found to discuss the issues clearly.

Please keep this in mind as you review Privacilla and think about privacy issues.
